Introducing the SurphSlam
SurphSlam is the combination of Surphaser's new Model 10 sub-millimeter 3D scanner and GeoSLAM's realtime SLAM registration software. SLAM's award-winning algorithm makes it possible for high-precision real-time mobile mapping without reliance on GPS. Scan and register at the speed of up to 1 m/s with local accuracy better than 1 cm
Data is captured in real-time as a person walks behind the system. GeoSLAM's software aligns and processes the 3D scan data. Since the data is processed in real-time, the operator is able to see results live as they are scanning. This type of feedback helps the user make sure coverage is complete before the scan is finished. When scanning is complete, the user just has to wait a few minutes to export a fully registered point cloud.
